is there a setting on your camera that creates that kind of hue with the colors or do you edit it like that? i have been playing with my new camera but i can't figure out how to get that kind of tone.

This photo was originally a full color photograph, but I edited it in Photoshop CS5.

You can get some nice black and white tones on a lot of consumer level cameras (you just have to play with your shutter speed, ISO and f-stops until you achieve the look you're going for).

This particular photo (my cat) isn't a true black and white photo though. It is more grays and dark navy (blue) tones. As far as I know, no camera can achieve that color combination on its own (without the help of customized filters).
