Voldemort - They made me look stupid by MonsterBrand Voldemort - They made me look stupid by MonsterBrand

artwork Adam Ramirez of *MonsterBrand

Adam and I here at *MonsterBrand never quite liked the physical appearance of
Voldemort's character in the Harry Potter films. His character did not appear to be threatening
at all and his nose gave slot machines everywhere a run for their money!
So, Adam wondered what the "real" Voldemort would think if he happened to see
himself being depicted by an actor on film... and this is the result.

2005.

Totally agree about how he looked! What bothers me just as much is how accepting fans are that like it (or THINK they like it). If you bring up that he didn't have red eyes with vertical slits, they'd say, "Well, that just looks too monstery. With the blue eyes you can see that he is or was human and that is creepy." You're just repeating what the producers said because you heard it and bought it instantly! Well, then, let's just get rid of Palpatine's Sith eyes. The vampires' eyes in Underworld. Because it's more creepy that way to see human eyes. Voldemort IS a monster. A magical monster with magical evil red eyes. It's known that he's human because you see his features still in that snake face.

Alright, alright...rant done.

What bothered me most with film-Voldemort was his huge gum (though I get it, he had to wear fake teeth on top of his real ones, that shows) and most of all: his egg-head!

It's creepy, but I like it. I wish they had gone with this idea, the other was too... non-menacing.

:giggle: thank you very much ;) I wish they had done something more decrepit with Voldie's face. It just seemed too 'full' and healthy-looking. The book always described him as being creepy and snake-like. I pictured sunken in cheeks and an almost skeletal nose (like pits) - instead of the coin slots for nose holes that he had in the film :noes:

Ah well. What's done is done.

Thanks for checking out our work ;)

Yeah, and in the last movie, the hug was just... I won't get into the last movie, it makes me a bit upset.

It would've been really cool if they had gone with the skeletal look, I wish they had!

oh, I know, tell me about it :noes: While everyone in the theater giggled at the hug my inner fangirl totally cringed and I was like "WTF!?" :noes:
