That is so awesome the way the clouds cast shadows on the ground. Back in Ireland I remember fast moving clouds that would cast a shadow across the ground and move, and I would run and try to keep up with it to stay in the sunlight. It hasn't happened here yet.
Thank you! This is actually an old photo (and the original photo is very dark and ugly looking - so I tried salvaging what I could for such a low-quality photo). I'm glad people seem to be enjoying it though. And your memories of Ireland sound amazing! There is no place around where I live where the clouds are close enough to the ground to cast definitive shadows like this. But I've visitied places in Germany and Belgium where I've actually seen clouds touching the ground. It was amazing
I think islands like Ireland (lots of people don't realize it's an island) have more chances of that happening because they can become surrounded by low moving clouds because of the ocean winds. In Ireland I could move with clouds all the time there. You could stand in shade while in a wide open field while the hill next to you was in sunlight, so you could walk over to it and be in the sun. It's kind of magical. Faerie magic. I haven't experienced it in the US yet. Maybe someday.
