Monster Brand Actions - African Wild Dogs by MonsterBrand Monster Brand Actions - African Wild Dogs by MonsterBrand
--

Photography by: ~sekhmet-stock

You can find the original photograph here:

I was honestly sick of looking at my own photographs and wanted to try editing
another artist's stock images. ~sekhmet-stock's original photograph is beautiful
and can stand on its own, but like I said, I've been itching to try out the new Actions
I created in Photoshop. Would you be interested in seeing more of my actions applied to
other artist's stock images like this? Let me know! ;)

I wanted the blacks on the face to appear gray, so I dodged the darker areas of the faces
and I also burned the white areas of their fur and the lightest areas on their heads.
Oh! I also brightened up those amazing eyes too!

I got rid of the diagonal line running through the bottom left-hand corner as well (as I
personally found it to be slightly distracting).

Wow. Nicely done. And everything done with "traditional" photo techniques, except for the diagonal line removal. I like the changes.

Thank you! ;)

After a few years of editing my own photos, I find that the simplest edits are often the most effective. Sometimes I catch myself 'overdoing it' when it comes to post editing.
I don't know why I haven't thought about practicing my edits on stock photos until now... :nerd: But I quite enjoy editing others' photos if given the chance. It kind of offers me a new perspective, and I feel more pressure to 'do better' (since it's not wholly my work).

Anywho, before I go on a rant... thank you very much :) I'm glad to hear you enjoy my edit!
