How did you do this?! I can NEVER get good shots of cuttlefish, hehe! I paid homage to your photo's title with my new one: Mini Cthulhu

well, truth be told, all it takes is lots of patience and a little luck.

I try to position myself in front of the tank so that I won't get any glare from lights, signs, etc. I also watch the movement of the animal (in this case, the cuttlefish) for awhile to see if he/she moves in a pattern (this makes for a slightly easier shooting experience). I try not to use the flash for 2 reasons; One: it annoys and/or frightens the animal. Two: It causes glare and makes the shadows too dark (thus, you lose details). For this particular shot, I just waited until the cuttlefish came to a halt for a bit and opened up the shutter on my camera (to let in more light).

I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but thank you for checking out my photo

Hahaha they're so awkward<3 You found this little guy in Florida? God I really need to explore around. I've been to Florida so many times and I've never gone out to ocean to see what lives there. You've inspired me though ;)

You have a little piece of history photographed here: The Living Seas is gone now. They have some stupid Finding Nemo ride there instead that involves holograms and a tram ride, and no fish tanks.

I remember these guys there, too. They were some of my favorites (and quite active in their color-changing too).

Yes, they actually do have fish tanks ;) I visit every summer (as I have some friends that work there).

The smallest fish tanks are on the top level of the Living Seas building, although they do not have the cuttlefish anymore.
They are all small salt water fish and small eels.

The Living Seas also houses manatees, dolphins, sharks and tons of larger salt water fish in their largest tank (you have to walk around the bottom level of the building to see the tank viewing area :)

And yes, I'm not a big fan of the new Finding Nemo ride either, but the younger kids seem to go crazy over it (which is the ride's target audience :) ). But the 'holograms' are actually projected onto the glass of the real (largest) fish tank :) There are real fish swimming around where the holograms are projected (which is kind of neat).

Anywho, I'm a big Orlando Parks fan... :)
Thanks for checking out my photo!

Oh there's still real fish and tanks? That's good to know. I haven't been to Disney since they closed the Living Seas (last time I went was 2004), and I've watched videos of the Nemo ride and photos. I'm glad they weren't showing everything, just the silly junk that the kids like. I'm especially glad that there's still the dolphins and manatees, those were my favorites.

oh yes. ;) I would be VERY upset too if they got rid of those fish tanks (especially since EPCOT houses the largest fish tank in the US - if I'm not mistaken).

I think EPCOT still has a program where they house injured manatees and rehabilitate them until the manatees are ready to be released back into the wild. And if the manatees are too damaged to be rehabilitated, but well enough to keep on living, the Disney program finds permanent homes for the animals :)

Their aquatic programs have grown over the past few years. It's pretty neat
