How did you do this?! I can NEVER get good shots of cuttlefish, hehe! I paid homage to your photo's title with my new one: Mini Cthulhu

well, truth be told, all it takes is lots of patience and a little luck.

I try to position myself in front of the tank so that I won't get any glare from lights, signs, etc. I also watch the movement of the animal (in this case, the cuttlefish) for awhile to see if he/she moves in a pattern (this makes for a slightly easier shooting experience). I try not to use the flash for 2 reasons; One: it annoys and/or frightens the animal. Two: It causes glare and makes the shadows too dark (thus, you lose details). For this particular shot, I just waited until the cuttlefish came to a halt for a bit and opened up the shutter on my camera (to let in more light).

I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but thank you for checking out my photo

Hahaha they're so awkward<3 You found this little guy in Florida? God I really need to explore around. I've been to Florida so many times and I've never gone out to ocean to see what lives there. You've inspired me though ;)
