This is a really great shot, despite the inaccurate dinosaur portrayal. XD XP The subtleties, colours, and focus are really fantastic.

Thank you ;)

Jurassic Park did indeed physically portray the "Velociraptor" to look something more like Deinonychus,
but I'm still a huge fan of the film nonetheless.  I thought the general title reference would be easily picked up/appreciated. ;)

I was only joking around. :D Haven't seen the movie in ages, but I saw you mention it in the description. :)

Nicely posed and shot.
Nifty raptor - should have feathers. I wish they would remake the movie with feathered raptors!

I've been wanting to see JP in 3D, just haven't gotten around to it yet though.
Was it worth the money to see it in 3d?

thanks so much! This is actually a 'raptor' figure, not a t-rex ;)

I just purchased it on Ebay.

That is not a T-Rex. It's a JP-version Velociraptor (which is quite a far-cry from the reality of actual Velociraptors, which were small and feathered).

Or it could be a Deinonychus which is something like Velociraptor, but no feathers.

Deinonychus was almost definitely covered with feathers. Most paleontologists today agree that almost all (if not ALL) theropods had feathers at some point in their life cycle. Deinonychus is a theropod. Deinonychus most likely had some feathering.

Oh, OK, the last time I was reading an encyclopedia Deinonychus was still the one without feathers. It's a pity though. I think he looks way more badass without feathers, like here in this picture :D Thanks for giving me the updated info!

Hee! Great piece. The little bits of green foliage really add to and balance out the photo with extra layers.

Thanks so much! :) I searched around my backyard for awhile to try and get the perfect balance of greens and browns (I didn't want too much green, since the raptor itself was already a green tone). But I'm glad my searching paid off and that someone actually noticed my careful environment planning

But with the darker green of the raptor, it almost leaned toward the browns. The little bits of light green really made it pop. So yes, your searching paid off! :D
